At the moment, as a recruitment consultancy, we are looking on behalf of our client for a Danish and English-speaking Accountant for their offices in Murcia.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Accounting and Finance

• Daily recording of financial transactions in the accounting system (e.g., supplier and customer invoices)

• Accounting for bank accounts and petty cash, and their reconciliation

• Monthly closing and preparation of financial data for management (currently not performed)

• Issuing invoices and following up on customer payments

• Recording and paying supplier invoices

• Reconciliation of intercompany and internal accounts

Payroll and HR Administration

• Collection and entry of payroll data

• Reporting to tax authorities and vacation fund systems

• Maintenance of employee information in the payroll system

• Management of reimbursements related to sick leave and parental leave

Administration and Support

• Responding to finance-related queries, both internal and external

• Maintaining financial records and documentation (digital and physical)

• Supporting report preparation and budget tracking

• Coordinating with external auditors for annual reporting

• Monitoring the collections process and improving DSO

Compliance and Annual Reporting

• Recording compliance-related expenses according to policy and ensuring proper approvals

• Preparation of the compliance report

REQUIREMENTS

• University degree or higher education in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration

• At least 2 years of experience in accounting and financial administration

• Residence in Murcia or willingness to relocate

• Advanced level of English and Danish
